Video Game Consoles
Moving Movie Files to Your PSP
Not only is the PSP a viable solution for mobile gaming, but you have the flexibility of taking your digital movies on the road with you.
Here to show you how to move video files onto your Sony PSP. Before you can move any videos to the PSP, they must be converted. There are several available solutions. If you are having trouble finding one, you can find our reviews of video conversion software located under Software, Multimedia, and Video Converter Software. After you've open the folder that contains your converted file, plug in your PSP using a USB cable. Check your PSP to ensure that it enters USB Connection Mode. If it does not do this automatically, you can go under Settings, and press the X button with USB Connection highlighted. It may take your computer a moment to connect to your PSP. Once it's recognized by your computer, a dialogue box will ask you what actions you want to do. Select 'Open Folder to view files' near the bottom of the choices, and click OK. You will see a new window with folders to choose from. Double-Click on the folder titled Video. If this folder does not exist, you can manually create it by Right Clicking anywhere in the window, select New, Folder, and name it VIDEO in all capital letters. Click back to your converted file folder. Select the video files and any thumbnail images you wish to copy, select Edit, Copy. Return to the PSP Video Folder, click Edit, Paste. This will ensure that you place the correct file in the proper folder. Once the transfer is completed, press the Circle button on your PSP. This closes the USB connection and you will now be able to locate your video file under Videos.
