Finally, Sony may be gearing up to do what it should have in the first place: music and game downloads for the PSP. Details after the break.



Cnet reported that Sony has been speaking with major recording companies about providing music for the PSP, and while "... the talks are only preliminary," it may be a step in the right direction. The PSP has always had the ability to play music, but you had to buy Sony's Universal Media Discs much the same way you buy CDs at the store. Didn't Sony learn from the MiniDisc? Early MP3 players that failed because of silly DRM and clunky software?
